EVENT

Burning Man
"is a week-long annual event held in the Black Rock Desert in northern Nevada, in the United States.
The event begins on the last Monday in August, and ends on the first Monday in September, which coincides with the AmericanLabor Day holiday.
It takes its name from the ritual burning of a large wooden effigy, which is set alight on Saturday evening.
The event is described as an experiment in community, art, radical self-expression, and radical self-reliance.[1][2][3][4]...
In 2010, 51,515 people attended Burning Man.[5"

Burning Man: The Documentary
"Burning Man is an annual festival that began in 1986. Tens of thousands of people gather at the 'Playa' in Nevada's Black Rock Desert to create a temporary wooden city
dedicated to community, art, self-expression and self-reliance. They depart a week later, leaving no trace whatsoever. Let it burn!"

HAVE / HAVE GOT

Extract from "Village Centenary" by Miss Read.
"I remember Mr Hope taking a grammar lesson at the other end of the classroom. He was trying to get the children to stop using the word "got", with small success,
as you might imagine. He wrote it on the blackboard and crossed it through. "Got, got, got!" he cried, "A horrible word! It must be German. Simply leave it out and say
'I HAVE a pen, I HAVE a new nib', understand?" And one of the Bryant boys, a real little gypsy, said "I ain't got neither, Sir"
and everyone broke into laughter, including Mr Hope."
