I didn’t turn

I tried to sleep

I learned to write

I learned to write

REMEMBRANCE DAY

Remembrance Day around the world - in pictures
"Remembrance Day, or Armistice Day, is observed in Commonwealth states and elsewhere to remember members of the armed forces
who have died in the line of duty. It is marked by the symbol of the poppy, and at the 11th hour on the 11 November two minutes’ silence is held."

Leonard Cohen's Live Recitation Of "In Flanders Fields" - Los Angeles 2015
"Remembrance Day has been observed on November 11 in Canada and other Commonwealth countries since the end of World War I
to remember the members of their armed forces who died in the line of duty; it coincides with Veterans Day in the US.
The emblem of Remembrance Day, the red poppy, bloomed across the battlefields of Flanders in World War I
and was memorialized in the lines of "In Flanders Fields." The poem, written by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae of the Canadian Expeditionary Force
has long been a favorite of Leonard Cohen's, particularly because his father, Nathan Cohen, along with other members of his family, served in the War.
As a boy, Leonard was fascinated with the handgun his father had used in the military and wanted to fight wars and earn medals as his father had.
During the 1970s he wore his father's wartime ID bracelet. Proudly displaying the Remembrance Day Poppy, whether on the street or onstage,
has been and continues to be a fundamental ceremony in Leonard Cohen's life."

SKETCHES

Sketch écrit par Céline Leconte (Ac. Orléans-Tours)
"
J'ai écrit le sketch des 3ème "the baby-sitter" après une séquence issue du manuel Enjoy English in 3è intitulée "Into the job market".
Le sketch réutilise:
- le present perfect et le preterit.
- Les questions en how (how often / how many / how much / how old / how long / when)

Ce sketch est essentiellement axé sur les différentes façons de prendre et passer une commande: - could / would / will etc...
Il inclut pas mal d'expressions types utilisées au resto (can I take your coats / enjoy your meal etc...)
ainsi que du vocabulaire et est assez visuel dans sa mise en pratique (il faut pas mal de matériel pour le transformer en vrai sketch)
mais il est utilisable très simplement et modifiable évidemment."

WALLS

Trump is not alone — animated map shows 6 border walls being built around the world
"One of Donald Trump's most controversial campaign promises is to build a wall on the border between the United States and Mexico
in an attempt to control illegal immigration.
Trump's idea has been nothing short of divisive among American voters, but the idea of erecting walls and fences to prevent people from illegally entering
a country is nothing new. In fact, new border walls are being built all over the world today, and more are in the planning stages.
Here's a list of just a few of the border barriers that are either being built or are under preparations to be built in the near future:
Norway and Russia, Kenya and Somalia, Hungary and Serbia, Ukraine and Russia, Israel and Gaza, and Thailand and Malaysia."
