  • Human Trafficking: A Modern Day Slavery
    "Human trafficking is modern day slavery that involves coercing people into sexual and labor situations by threatening injury, debt, and even death. There are over 20 million victims of human trafficking globally. In 2017, there were 4,460 reported cases of human trafficking in the U.S. alone."



  • McMafia: The scale of human trafficking in numbers - VIDEO - 3 January 2018
    "The issue of human trafficking is being highlighted in new BBC One drama McMafia, through the character of beautician Lyudmilla.
    More than 18,000 people are victims every year, according to the UN. But the true scale of the trade in human lives is thought to be much greater than figures suggest.
    McMafia is broadcast on BBC One and available after broadcast on the BBC iPlayer. The next episode is at 2100 on Sunday, 7 January."





  • "A Dangerous Journey" (part funded by Comic Relief)
    warns young African women of the dangers of being coerced and tricked into prostitution by traffickers who use scare tactics perpetrated by native doctors and false promises. The campaign was launched in the House of Lords in October 2012.
    The film won the Gold World Medal at the 2013 New York Festivals and the 2013 Human Trafficking Foundation Media Award."
